Rochdale – Housing Contracts
Thinking of Rochdale (and its 1000+ asylum seekers today).
The next contract to provide housing to dispersed asylum seekers is currently out for tender. £4 billion will be spent over 10 years (from 2019) to provide housing for those who are seeking asylum in the U.K. -that is, someone with a well founded fear of persecution.
Last year, the Home Affairs Select Committee said, ‘The state of accommodation for some asylum seekers and refugees in this country is a disgrace”. It’s time for change.
